The internet as we know has changed the music industry forever. And I’m not just talking about the downloading and sharing of tracks that’s now going on in every school and a lot of offices around the world, I’m talking about the more positive side of things: Everyone has the change to make it big!

Websites like MySpace have given EVERYONE the chance to showcase their music, whether you’re the next big thing to grace the centre stage, or a rookie musician with vocals flatter then a fried omelet. But with all this choice around, why should the consumer (The person you want to pay your wages by buying your music) choose to listen to and invest in you over the other thousands of people that do similar music?

Chinese Happy Buddha statues are one of the two kind of Buddha statues. There are Happy or Laughing Buddha statues, and then there are the more serious types of Buddha statues. It is said that the Chinese Happy Buddha is actually based on the characterization of an actual Buddhist monk who lived more than 1,000 years ago. His Chinese name was Pu-Tai. Pu-Tai was a good person. He was a kind and benevolent man who shared all he had. Most representation of Pu-Tai actually show him holding a bag with is full to overflowing with good things, like food or candy or money. It is said that Pu-Tai spent much of his life distributing the items found in his bag to the children of the poor. He is said to nourish and care for children and the weak or poor. His duty is to care for those who need someone to take up for them.

They certainly pre-date all the records of the oldest of civilisations, and have remained unchanged throughout the ages.

The Zodiac of the Akkadians, one of the most ancient peoples, who reached the height of their civilisation between 24BC and 22BC, is almost identical to the one we know today. These ancient people brought with them the rudiments of writing and mathematics when they invaded Assyria and Babylonia.
