South by South West, also referred to SXSW, is a three part conference and festival that includes interactive, film, and music. It is a weeklong event that takes place annually in Austin, TX. SXSW Inc. is a private owned company that is headquartered in Austin that works all year to get the best lineup of musicians, actors, and media industry professionals. The first festival took place in 1987 and has been going strong and growing in attendance every year. How should you prepare for such a big event? Here are some tips for preparing for the SXSW five days of music portion of the festival.

If you are traveling from out of town, the first step is to book your hotel and travel arrangements. Hotels in the downtown area, where the festival takes place, fill up in advance. Making your hotel arrangements should be done first and early. There are a lot of places to stay downtown so that you can walk to different music shows. If you stay somewhere that isn’t of walking distance, you can arrange to rent a vehicle or take a taxi cab. The cabs are very busy during the week so renting a car may be more convenient. There are a lot of Pedi-cabs, bicycle driven buggies, which can take you around downtown.

Once you know where you are going to stay you can start packing. You will need comfortable walking shoes because you will be walking around the many different venues to check out as many shows as you can fit in during the week. You will also be standing and dancing a lot throughout the festival. Dress comfortable yet trendy. There are a lot of day parties and dinner parties, so it’s good to pack a few really nice outfits. Most importantly, you want to be comfortable. Austin has really great weather in March and you can expect the temperatures to be in the 70s.

Before you head down to the festival, you should look at the music schedule to see who is playing and where and when they take the stage. Music starts during the middle of the day and lasts until two in the morning. There are a lot of up and coming bands, and bands from all over the world at SXSW. You can listen to the bands’ online music to hear if you are interested in seeing them. Take advantage of the music lineup and research some of the bands and venues. If you want to be more spontaneous, you can walk around downtown and listen to the bands from the street. Once you hear a sound that you like, show your badge and walk into the bar or music venue where the band in playing.

If you stay out from noon until the early morning hours, be sure to stop and eat lunch and dinner. You want to have enough energy to walk around and check out as much music as you can fit into the day. It is also very important to stay hydrated. There will be a lot of free alcohol at the events and different venues, but be sure to switch up the alcoholic drink for some water. Please remember to follow all drinking laws and be safe. Austin has great barbecue and Tex Mex restaurants, so if you are interested in local cuisine, talk to your hotel concierge or do some research online for great eats you may want to try.

We know that we have many compulsions
So many thought bombs explode with fusions
It has its own chain action and reaction
Then where do they go for simple perfection?

It is wise to surrender to almighty for direction
Honest words and prayers offered for recitation
Service to poor and down trodden with good faith
Will escape you unhurt form anybody’s wrath?

Nothing wrong in it if that provides mental peace?
Helps in building character to live in harmony at ease
What else one can expect or gain form sincere prayers/
Gives enough satisfaction when we look back to yesteryears

It is open way for freedom and salvation
Easiest path for betterment and self elevation
Positive approach and expulsion of negative thoughts
Easy circulation of pure blood without any clots

You are at east with complete surrender
You may not feel guilty or offender
Things may come naturally to you
As the prayers are deemed to be true

There is tremendous force behind anything you offer
You may have disbelief and many thing s to differ
You may not see eye to eye for guilty conscious
Still there may be on going struggle in mind continuous

When you bow your head, half of your guilt melts away
Heart and mind continues to search and finds the way
There is miraculous process to help to over come crisis
There is no explanation to this or any special thesis

For age old we have tried to live under tension
Prayers have always found favor and mention
What more is expected or desired from person?
Holistic approach without any mention with reason

You may have to go long away with struggle
Life is like boiling pot with all the bubbles
You may have many ups and down
Try to do away with guilt and own

It is not preferred by anybody but till it comes
No one is happy about it and doesn’t welcome
New birth is celebrated with joy and fun fare
No one tries to knows how it comes and from where?

If death really would not have been the fear factor?
People would have interfered in all the sectors
Leaving of this world makes them real little scary
Otherwise they would have been left with no worry

They could have defied temporal authority
Simply not have bowed head before almighty
Life would have been made tough and living hell
Things could have been made dreary and not well

Death is welcome step and good gesture
Everybody is having final day decided for future
Not a second can be shifted from here and there
You got to feel comfortable, very safe and stay here

Why He doesn’t interfere in day today’s routine?
Why do we console ourselves even after not doing fine?
It is our inner strength that holds us together
Death or no death we simply don’t bother

We must accept it as immortal factor
We come here in life to play as actor
No one cares or try to know what the life is all about?
Is it punishment to suffer in life or opt out?

Life is precious gift to human being
He can be either very poor or king
He may lead it with fun fare and joy
Though life may be simply decoy

Life should not considered as burden
We can make it beautiful like heaven
It has its own charm and purpose
We must mean it and not to suppose

Life is to be enjoyed with full length
It is not weakness but real strength
What one needs to know is its mission?
Leave the life decently with good liaison

You may not have chance to revisit place
No one can grant you permission to replace
It has to be spent with grace and happiness
Pray the almighty for His mercy and kindness

We must bow our head with gratitude
We should have generous and nice attitude
Life and dearth is synonymous thing
It is part of cycle and that speaks something

He was boiling for the days but not in position to hide
He had chosen suicidal course with two horses to ride
He was in dilemma where to go and how to confide?
Very strange situation for a person to take a side

Bees go from one flower to another for collection of food
Female bees stay at hone to take care of in good mood
What she has to do other than looking after them well
Not fully aware that life is going to prove living hell

Nature has given same quality of deceit in all the insects
It is prevalent in all kind of animals too as matter of fact
We are intelligent human being but still perform same act
Come to hasty conclusion immediately and violently react

I was not surprised at all at his anger and out burst
I was quick enough to catch his nerves and new at first
He was finding quick ways to get rid of at the outset
Stage was set by him to shunt and make me off set

It was easy on his part to sacrifice me for other woman
He wanted to assert in his domain as powerful man
He forgot to realize it is woman behind man that counts
Everything else becomes secondary when problem mounts

I had to brace myself and prepare for future eventualities
Women are considered as weak and poor in qualities
When times comes to act, woman accepts challenges
It is mild and caring heart that takes on and manages

Why not man folk understand that woman is powerful ally?
She can prove herself for anything and can’t be silly
She is not just good at bed or pawn in his game
She can prove worthy mother too and not duck lame

Does outer beauty only need attention and recognition?
Is beautiful face and sensual overtures enough for ignition?
Does the long attachment and loyalty offer no solution?
If this is realized sooner or later it will be then great revolution

Let my example be taken as sounding measure
There may be bubbles or short lived fissures
We may survive the forced domain of men falks
With honor and dignity we may proudly walk
